Born From One Family's Battle
The journey of L'Ivate, Inc began when founder Sherva Woods watched her Marine veteran husband's spinal cord injury turn their world upside down. Their family suddenly faced displacement, inaccessible housing, confusing benefit systems, and a maze of agencies that offered information but not much guidance.
As they searched for answers, they met other veterans and caregivers in the same hallways and waiting rooms, all trying to piece together a path through crisis.
Out of that season, L'Ivate, Inc was created as a promise that other families would not have to walk that road alone.
